Junior Accountant

About the Role

The Junior Accountant supports the General Accountant with reliable day-to-day records across finance, inventory, banking, procurement, and office administration. You will keep source documents and Odoo entries aligned, help reconcile discrepancies, and coordinate routine administrative work across the office.

Reports to: General Accountant

What You'll Do

• Enter and review routine accounting transactions in Odoo with complete, correctly filed supporting documents
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense records, petty cash, and periodic financial schedules
• Prepare bank deposits and documents, complete required bank visits, and support bank reconciliation follow-up
• Record inventory receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments; support cycle counts and investigate differences
• Compile recurring accounting, inventory, purchasing, and office reports for review by the General Accountant
• Support procurement administration through quotations, purchase documentation, supplier records, and invoice matching
• Maintain orderly office records and supplies and assist with routine personnel files and general HR administration under approved procedures

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce with an accounting concentration
• 0-2 years of relevant accounting or finance administration experience
• Sound understanding of basic accounting entries, supporting documents, and reconciliation principles
• Good Microsoft Excel skills and a careful, organized approach to data entry and filing
• Ability to coordinate bank and office errands reliably when required
• Professional Arabic and working English

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with Odoo or another ERP system
• Exposure to inventory control, purchasing, or supplier documentation
• Knowledge of Egyptian accounting and tax documentation practices
